New baby tegu and new to forum

Hi! I am new to the forum. I got a baby b&w argentine tegu about 3 weeks ago. I dont know exactly how old he is. He is rather skittish and is already growing so fast. I am hoping to get some more tips on calming him down and making him more handlable. The pic attached is when I first got him.

Hi Opal. Welcome and congrats on a beautiful tegu. He's a young'en for sure. Talk to him and interact with him every day. He doesn't need to be handled every day but you can pet him or even just change water, etc. and watch him. Also put a worn piece of clothing in his hide to recognize your scent. Lots of good advice here, and folks are friendly.
