just picked up my golden tegu over a week ago.
He's feisty and in general a small terror. Unsure how old he is but from noise to tail he's maybe a foot.
Not a big eater at all, offering ground turkey, chicken, beef, canned dog/cat food, super worms, liver, ground salmon, pinkies and his absolute favorite raw egg.
Temps are 100f hot side and 80f cool side. Got new MVB to up the temp on the hot side to see if that helps.
Put reprivite and calcium on his food.
Ordered him crickets and hornworms to see if that helps the appetite.
Not handling him yet as he's super flighty and doesn't mind biting so I sit by his tank a lot, put a t shirt in his tank.
Worried that he's barely eating but very happy to finally have a tegu.

Welcome. Looks like a Columbian?? Make sure the thermal gradient goes to about 75F. They don't always want to be hot. Actually, can stress an animal into not eating.
