just wanted to introduce myself. my name is Mar and this is my first tegu. i have a six month old colombian named Voodoo and i'm here to learn as much as possible to take the best care of my baby. he's quite small and skittish right now, but never bites. if anybody has tips for bonding and trust building it'd be greatly appreciated!

Props on having a Columbian! Had one myself, quite an interesting animal haha. To gain trust, I would feed him from tongs daily and I never dug him up. That's a great way to break your tegu's trust. I've read to give them something that smells like you (a shirt or something that has your scent) to get them used to you! Good luck :)

Welcome to the forum! Make slow deliberate movements around your tegu and be very patient. Work with him daily and don't give up on him. As the weeks and months go by you will notice a difference!
