[attachment=5482][/size][size=medium]Hi Everyone! I have only recently became a member of Tegu Talk and I thought I had better introduce my Tegu 
Frank is my Argentine Black and White Tegu. He is currently 36" nose to tail. He is my frankenstein, frankenchild, frankenson, and any other endearing terms that come to mind.
I was curious while on here, I will share some pics of my boy and talk a little about his personality. I would love to hear from other members what their description of their tegu's personalities are.
Frank is very cat-like and very ferret-like in my opinion. He is very smart, he will ask to come in and out of his cage, ask to be fed, ask to lay on the deck or come back inside and etc. he has opinions and preferences about all of the people he knows. He loves to get into trouble and sometimes he likes to snuggle. He is very independant but also follows me around: He gives me the cat/ferretlike attitude of "I am not here because of you!" and generally ignores me, yet he is always in close radius of me and will follow me around the house. If he wanders off he always comes back and settles near my feet somewhere. Sometimes he will choose to nap ON my feet. If I am watching TV he will climb up the couch and crawl into my lap for a short while before he goes off exploring again. And he loves crawling in boxes, bags, coats, and anything else a ferret would find interesting. He will usually find an article of clothing to burrow into for a nap, also much like a ferret. And for whatever reason, he has ONE pair of shoes that he is obsessed with. He beelines for those shoes every time he is out, and he will bite hard into them, shake them like a dog shakes a toy, and then proceed to drag them all over the house. He does not show any interest whatsoever in anything besides those shoes. I also take him for very short drives every now and then and he will ride on the dashboard of my car. and watch out the window.
When just my tegu and I are alone, he will immediately greet me and climb up my leg when I let him out, and after I say hello and give him a little head rub he wanders off. When I sit on my porch to smoke, his "spot" of choice is next to my chair and he will follow me out and follow me back in etc. he stays by me UNTIL my boyfriend shows up in which case he usually takes off and gets a very independant streak.. I think my boyfriends energy level irritates him, but they get along okay just the same.
So that is my boy!
I would love to hear about yours? And also if you have ever been bitten by yours or not. I have been bitten by mine around 3 times but I have learned the warning signs and he has learned to be a bit better behaved, so we get along just fine in respecting each others boundaries.
Also: I realize that Frank looks very female in all of these photos... He has just in the past 2 weeks or so had a sudden growth spurt in which he has gotten pretty girthy and almost over night started looking like he had jowels. He has also, in this growth spurt, started suddenly displaying his little PeePee every time he poops... I am getting used to it but it is still a little disturbing! Hahaha.
