New Rambunctious Baby Red!

Hi all! I just adopted a new baby red tegu, about two weeks ago. He is a really sweet boy, but he won't take to petting unless he is in the bath. I would also like a few tips on feeding. I cage feed him, but he doesn't eat if he isn't in his cage. He has taken very well to tong feeding, and he has NOT bitten. I take him out every day, and he even sleeps with me sometimes. I just wouild like to know what is notmal for a new tegu. I believe he is 3 months old, but I am not sure. He is 15" long. Help?

Normal, it can take time, usually much longer than two weeks for them to get use to you.
