New Tegus :)

Hey Everyone!!

Just wanted to show off our new tegus Draco and Storm. We previously and briefly owned a Columbian tegu named Igor that we had picked up from an expo last year. Unfortunetly he died at a very young age due to many many health issues . Its been about a year since his passing and we have decided to try again this time with Yearlying Argentines that were hand raised from a local breeder. Were excited to start this journey over again and cant wait to see these guys grow.

Hopeing someone could help so we have had our tegus now for a few days now and the place we got them from always used to feed them in their cage....needless to say we cant get them to eat anywhere but inside their cage. Draco ate a few pieces outside but stopped. I really dont want them eating inside their cage...impaction waiting to happen...any suggestions on how to break this behavior? Should i just buy a clear container to feed them in? Any ideas?? Thanks in advance!!

I always fed in cage with a deep plate/bowl and never faced impaction or aggression from any if my tegus.
