HI IM CHRIS AND THIS IS MY TEGU JAZZ GOT HIM ON 8/11/09 FROM VARNYARD HE IS ABOUT 7 WKS OLD THIS WAS A PIC TAKEN THE FIRST FEW DAYS HE WAS HERE.H E HAS GROWN A BIT AND LOST MOST OF HIS GREEN . HE HAD A GOOD SHED YESTERDAY AND EATS LIKE A LIL PIG LOL. IM SO EXCITED THIS IS MY FIRST TEGU SO IM A LIL EXCITED. HE IS VERY TAME AND HAS SHOWN NO SIGNS OF AGGRESION. HE IS SOOOO DIFFEREBT FROM THE IGUANAS AND MONITORS IVE HAD , I CAN LECT HIM WALK ON MY PORCH AND HE WONT RUN WHEN I PICK HIM UP , HES SO COOL .ILL GET SOME BETTER PICS WHEN I GET A DIGI CAM THANKS FOR LOOKING

Tegu's are definitely different from Monitors & Iguana's, we have both. Be aware that baby Tegu's can get spooked and run very fast. I hope your porch is enclosed and doesn't have any holes he can escape through. You'll find a few stories on here were people have lost their Tegu's outside.
