No liver or oil?

So for whatever reason, Link has never liked liver. He's always turned his nose up at it.

I've tried Chicken livers as well as beef liver, and not the slightest bit of interest. He also won't touch anything with cod liver oil.

What does your tegu think of liver and, or cod liver oil? Do you use anything as a specific substitute for them? Link is doing fine, I'm just wondering how common this is, and if anyone has a work around

My red hates both. She won't even touch turkey if there's liver or CLO in it

None of mine have ever had an issue with it unless I put too much in their food. I start out with very little,.. couple of drops in the beginning for them to try it and get them use to it. Sometimes they go straight for the food while others they just lick the meat and juices.

If you haven't already,... reduce how much you use and try adding honey. Korben has yet to refuse anything that I introduced to him with honey or CLO even with out them.

I've tried adding tiny, tiny amounts and even trying to mask it with egg yolk (which she likes). Once she gets a taste/smell, she won't eat it.

I'll have to try the honey trick! I've tried hiding it and masking it in the past though, and as soon as he realizes it's there, he's typically not happy with me XD

Bosco won't touch things that even have a small amount of CLO in it. Don't blame him its smell disgusting. He doesn't really like liver by itself, but whole animal he will eat so i guess he eats liver. I've never seen a health problem so i've never seen a reason to make him eat either.

I feed tilapia all the time. Mine eat it really well
