Odd Behaviour !

Teg's been acting stranger than normal :-/ lateley !! He's gone right off his food, drinking less, will stay hidden for longer and definitely lost some weight allthough he'll come out and have a wonder around the lounge and basks on and off for a few hours .... Is this I wonder the dreaded Hibernation.
Should I leave things be !? or cool things down for him !? I am rather concerned because his tail has still not shed properly !

From the UK. But ... he's been doing so well ! He's 5lbs 8oz / 42inch and not quite 8 months old !
He's in a 7x3x3, 150 watt bask lamp at 100-110f, then ambient tapering down to cool side which is 75f, low 70's at night, 36inch - 39 watt UVB 10% with reflector next to the bask lamp ! Plenty of fresh water daily. Food - Turkey mince, diced chicken, dice turkey, beef mince, mice, and various fruits allthough he's not keen !! Supplemented with a good serving of calcium and occasionally cod liver oil ! He comes out twice daily, allthough he escaped today by opening the viv door all by himself and went back in after a poo and pee ! lol

Complete refusal of food for like 2 weeks while he eliminates tummy content would I think indicate hibernation prep. This is what niles did. This was in oct and he is 'still ' hibernating regardless of temps and light :/ ( I'm trying to *encourage* waking but he won't eat at all or come out to bask...
