Only eats cockroaches

Any ideas why my five month old tegu won't eat ground turkey, only dubia roaches? Is it an age thing, or is there something I can do to mix up his diet? Thanks everyone.

Have you tried anything else? Chicken breast? Maybe some smelts? It's possible your tegu simply doesn't like ground turkey

I'll try it... I just wanted to make sure chicken isn't unhealthy for them...

Lean meat isn't particularly healthy which goes the same for ground turkey, add some supplements like reptile multivitamins or calcium and your little guy will be okay. Just be sure you don't feed JUST chicken, mix in whole prey with bones (fish, mice, etc.) and such and you'll be just fine.

Hey! Just keep trying different things and eventually you will find something that he likes other than roaches. You could try Beef Liver. Hell even a little bit of baby food. Don't give up I'm sure you will find something. Just think varity.
