How about using an outdoor heated dog bed for an outdoor tegu enclosure. Petco has this one.

Totally doable, but if the power goes out during a cold night and the rest of the enclosure and outside is freezing you probably have a dead tegu. I personally just use my outdoor enclosure in summer, late spring, and early fall during the day. Just safer that way.

I meant just for mild weather. My tegu will hibernate in my upstairs office during winter. I keep the upstairs around 60 degrees. If he wintered outside, My wife, Laura, would probably have to crochet him an insulated jumpsuit with pockets for hand warmers. Hey, that might just work.....
