Im wondering if my 1yr leopard gecko is overweight or am I just not used to her growing up. lol. I know that baby geckos can be a little on the lean side. She's always been healthy with a nice fat tail, but her body was lean. Its like once she hit a yr old she blew up, lol. When she lays on my hand, her belly bulges out. Is she overweight? How can I tell? Tell me if a picture would help better. And if she is overweight, whats the proper way going about helping her slim down. Thanks guys.

Pics would definitely help. Good pics (not far away or blurry ones). Also, what do you feed her and how often? Be specific for better help.

Alright, I'll get some pictures as soon as I can. My camera is currently dead right now. She eats mealworms and occasionally crickets, but not very often because they are hard for me to get right now. She is fed like every other night, sometimes every two nights if she isn't eating.

Overweight gecko? That phrase dosen't exist! I feed my leos every day as much as they will eat. When they were younger they were gluttons but now they have really slowed down. Mine are very chubby and there's nothing wrong with that.

Just don't feed a ton of fatty foods and your leo will be fine.
