I am refring to those hollow half-logs and was wondering that, since most of them are made of pine, wouldnt they be toxic for reptiles?

Cedar is toxic. Pine isn't toxic. All the test that have been done all say cedar is more toxic than pine. Pine will not harm reptiles. I've used it for years as bedding. The pine to use is the dried kind used for horses. It doesn't have to oils in it. The pine oil is the problem. Horse shaving have been dried and heated to rid the oil from it. Tractor supply sells a kind that is in a bag. It has a picture of a lizard on it. it is completely safe for reptiles. The big Flake pine can cause binding . But the finer cut brands work great.
