Hello! I finally got my first tegu and Im really excited! I got her from varnyard and she's a sweetheart. She didnt eat anything, but I kind of expected that. I'll try again feeding her tomorrow. Though I know the arg. are slowing down this time of year....sadly! I was expecting her to not really like me at first, I hear alot about "taming" so I was expecting a somewhat skittish animal....not her! she fell asleep on me when I picked her up :jes . though she did rattle her tail like a snake when she was in her tank and I crinkled a bag, lol. It was cute. But I figured id post some pics of my tegu: Dragonfly!

That is really neat! Looks like you are well prepared for you new family member. I remember not to long ago when mine was almost that small. Good job and good luck!

thanks everyone! yeah im hoping she gets big fast! lol =P I love her already! and she's sooo tiny, I'd say barely 10 inches (but I havent measured her yet). I hope she doesnt go into hibernation too soon, );, but she's been buried in the mulch since last evening. But I know she's adjusting to everything so I have to just deal. No matter how hard it is!
