Anyone ever tried using pond sealer like G4 on the inside of their vivs to waterproof them ??? Just been googling and come across a few sites recommending it over yacht varnish and products like drylok.

yea i used it in my 8x3 it is made out of pine, did 2 coats of varnish first, then 2 coats of g4 after that, it smells & its a bit messy but absolutely brilliant, i can wash it down , disinfect, its very tough & durable 100% water proof, cant fault it.
how are you enjoying that new baby tegu.

Nice viv Chris. Did you build that yourself ? I'd hate to think how much that cost you.
The blue is doing well. He/she has put on a lot of weight in the week I've had it. I think the other tegu was getting the bulk of the food at Wharf. It is becoming a lot more confident and stubborn, as the painful tail whip I was on the wrong side of earlier showed :(

yea i know what you meen about that greedy one at wharf, ive been lucky enough not to be whipped yet, i just get the huffing & a wriggling tail, my 2 are great one is getting big fast, where as the other is growing more slowly.
yea i made my viv myself it still cost me a good £500, got the pine cheap, but the glass, varnish g4 electrics etc... wasnt cheep but im very happy with the results, its nice to watch them when theres nothing on the tv.
