Potty Training that Gu!

So I don't have my Tegu yet, but I was wondering the experience people have with their Tegu's bathroom habits... I hear they don't like to go in their cage, so do they hold it til they get out or what? Where do yours tend to go? When do you let them out if you somehow know they have to go? Do you train them to go on some newspaper?

well mine cage is at the foot of my bed and some blankets were part way in his cage and me just waking up i didnt see it realy.so like normal i turned his lights on and went out to eat(of my room)
then about a hour later(eating,getting ready)i smelt something very..... stinky
my room is alway stinky but not that bad then i want to sit on my bed to think what could have died
then right when i sat down the pee slid to me and i was sitting right next to it.
then out of no where here comes my tegu all happy comming to greet me
i was like "for dam sakes....! on my bed...! why...?! i meen you could of on the floor or under my bed....but no on my bed" so thats it its not that funny....
but one time he farted in the bathtube and even my brother herd it in the other room....
