So with these ill give an update on our new red male who is having shedding issues:
After much advice from Bubblz and James, the soaks are REALLY paying off! He has such incredible pattern and color under all of his stuck shed! His feet , toes and legs are completely clear. ALL but three inches of the tip of the tail are clear, and his back and belly are doing great =0) the swelling in his foot is going down, but under the built up skin we're noticing some cracking... so he'll end up with a vet visit to be sure we don't end up with an infection on our hands.

(Here's just a few shots from yesterday's basking time and today's nap time =0)....yes, big momma Flick looks like a beached whale lol

Nope. Both Argentine babies =0)

And his tail looks 'ok' for now...as his back and belly do. We're confident that it'll come loose on its own with the continuation of soaks. It looks like he had shed his back well enough previously that the skin is thin and translucent like it should be.

I thought it was Columbian because it looked yellowish in the pic. I now assume it's the glare from basking lamp reflecting off the scales. Either way, it's a beautiful lizard. They all are. You clearly take good care of your animals. :)

The red looks better, but like Bubblz said there is still a layer of shed on him. Just keep on soaking to be sure it comes off ok. What are you keeping his humidity at?

We're holding at about 75-80%... but when they're free roaming the house we mist/soak the substrate and place a small heater at the doorway of the enclosure to heat it up and produce moisture in the air,.... this process usually gets us up to about 90% if not a wee bit more.
On top of the daily soaks.... I'd say we're doing good with what we've got =0)

And thanks for the compliments, guys!

Fat momma would eat us out of house and home if we'd let her. LOL. She's fattening up really nicely for hibernation!

Now if we could just get some weight on the red, we'd be golden! (Among solving his shed and foot issues)

Have you tried Zoo Med Repti Shedding Aid? its amazing. If she's comfortable with having her tail handled, massage it into the end and it should roll right off.
