RECOMMENDED VENDORS FOR FROZEN RODENTS

Hi Guys!

My tegu Vegas is recovering nicely now that I have incorporated whole prey food into his diet. (RECAP - he was calcium/nutrient deficient & started to exhibit mild tremors & lethargy. The vet cleared him of MBD, but w/out you guys help & insight he would have surely gone down that unfortunate road! )

Anywho - the local pet store prices for these frozen hoppers are highway robbery..so I'm needing a source that can ship me oodles of rodents for a reasonable price. Now that Vegas's appetite is back - I know it wont be long before he can eat mice or a quail chick.

I can google search like the next person - so I am looking for your reviews & recommendations based on your experience with quality & service.

I dont really have much trust in internet frozen vendors. However, try hittin up your local herp societies and their forums and Im sure youll beable to get them for same prices as an online dealer without the expensive as balls shipping. Best of luck.

I have used AmericanRodent.com twice and was very happy with the results both times. Their prices are very competitive in comparison to other online retailers and are much cheaper than anything I could find locally. If you buy $100+ shipping is free. They ship overnight using dry ice, I had zero issue with melting/defrosting.

Rodent Pro has a great selection of varied diet for the tegu. Not to mention various size distinctions; size, mass, age, and weight. You have to order a decent size order to make shipping worthwhile. But all in all, its worth it and this is pne of the best out there.
