A croc skink like that was actually my first reptile (with hindsight not the best first reptile). Her name was "Gustave". I named her that before I found out she was female (she laid infertile eggs).
I had her for about a year, then I went to college and my parents... didn't do the best job looking after her. This was last year. I am NEVER leaving Taco (my tegu) in their care!
Anyway, Gustave was a very cool animal when she was out.
...The problem is that she rarely was ever out. When ever I got the chance I would lightly handle her and she would never bite, squirm or "cry" (oh yeah, these skinks can make vocal noises), but she definitely didn't like it or was anywhere near as personable as Taco is.
So, they're cool to look at but you probably won't see them very often.
