I emailed this guy about this one. It is missing "some" toes and he said will probably lose about 2-3" of his tail. Isn't kept with any substrate, he says they don't "need" it. He said all of his animals are healthy, and don't email him with advice.

I noticed the repticarpet when I had first clicked that link, it was a big "wtf" moment. Hopefully that tegu finds a better home. Clearly he could use the advice.. *facepalm*

Are there usually a lot of tegus on your guys' craigslists? I always look and since august I've only seen 1 tegu on CL in PDX and some surrounding areas... I saw a colombian near tacoma but thats about it.

There is rarely tegus on the las Vegas CL. They pop up every now and again.

Yeah,.. I noticed his conditions in the tank, he still looks to be pretty young. But I wouldn't pay that much to rescue him,.. cage included or not.

I hardly ever see Tegus on our CL which is why it caught my eye. I was hoping there was someone in the area or close by that may be interested.

Turtlepunk,.. I left messages with the ones you posted to see what was going on with those. I'd rather not see pics of the one in Wenatchee from what they describe but if I was local I would go see if it could be saved or needs to be put to sleep.

he said he was 1 1/2 years old and about 2'. Maybe I'll throw him a low offer and see what he says.

The one I posted was in WA, its a ways east of Seattle. It's like a 4-5 hour trip there. It they were closer I'd go check it out.
It's probably a good thing people aren't posting tegus on CL. I could see people caring for them as they would an iguana or something.
Before I got guru I had e-mailed someone near Seattle about a tegu and told them I would consider making the trip if they were serious and if it was really going to be worth it.. He e-mailed me back almost a month later saying he had gotten cold feet and asked if I was still interested in getting his tegu..

Talked to the guy in the Las Vegas posting too. He gave me the same info as James. New to tegus and a student or else I would offer the guy. Seemed kind of shady too tho.

The second link Turtlepunk posted isn't up anymore but the guy said it's a rescue he rehabbed and is now selling. It looks like a Golden to me but better pics would clear that up. She's just over 2ft and he's not sure of her age. He's on the west side of Los Angeles and I sent some info about shipping so if anyone's close by and or interested.

I had plans to go down there tomorrow and was going to check her out while there,... might have came home with a new Gu,.. but that's not gonna happen.
