As child I had a grandfather that owned a motel in Florida. He would bring me Anoles sea horses ect .. Once he brought me a foot long alligator. He lived the summers outside in an old gold fish pond .. Winters we would let him live in the basement .. Water was left dripping in the shower for him and he had free range . He got to be over four feet long [all the gater any one needs ] . No one seamed to tell him he needed heat or special light He wondered about at room temperature .. He ate chicken that you threw to him . My mother messed with his water one day and scalded him he went down hill from there ... I think the best lizard to roam the house would be a tortoise...
