I feed mice/rats every otherday at the most, usually every 3 days. That **** gets really expensive after a while. $3 a mouse at the pet store. I feed lots of fruits, I noticed my tegu has a way easier time passing the mice and various other whole prey items when she has some fruit in her, I think its because of the fiber but I'm not a dietician :p

I'd go with a whole rodent every day or every other day at the least. Lots of good vitamins and nutrients there that you want to make sure your tegu is eating often!

It's not that they can't, it's just somewhat hard for them to digest a ton of hair. They can get impacted from it, but its not a huge risk.

The can't digest fur is a myth..fur isn't hard for them to digest either...as long as husbandry meets the bare minimum requirements it won't ever be a problem
