today my tegu....... just finished shedding after his shed i noticed he has lost all his green on his back and neck and grew 2 inches he is now 20 inches :( why does he have to grow so fast im gonna miss him being this small

and then he ate so much like hes trying to grow as fast as he can he ate 2 thawed mice and some apple along with some turkey

Awww :p the baby's just growing up.
In the wild the smaller you are you're more likely to be eaten by something bigger. So the quicker you grow you're more likely to survive and move up the food chain.

^^^what bubblz said...it only goes up from here,by the end of summer you'll be dealing with a beast, I miss having 2 tiny gus myself

im kinda happy now because i cant let my tegu walk around on the floor without me watching him and having a huge tegu walking around would be hard to lose

Lol that sounds good, but I have lost some 4'+ tegus in the house before lol they are masters at hiding, you still have to keep an eye out for them

Lol they are too smart, they find the best spots to hide ie in the laundry, inbetween sofa coushins ect. I'll never play hide&go seek with a tegu
