Hi everyone.. I haven't posted a welcome since I received Sammy a little over 2 months ago. He is my blue tegu from Ty Park. He was such a little guy when I got him at 22 grams, and today he is 177 grams. I have been holding him tons and now he is super friendly, not skittish at all and loves attention :) Here are pictures from when I got him, and then 1 from about 3 weeks ago.

I am excited to be a part of this group as it is my first tegu and I still have tons of questions.

Welcome to the forum! Cute little guy!
Hi Laura, thanks! I have posted a question in another place on here as I am a little worried because I saw Sam eat his own poop yesterday! So I am thinking there is something lacking in his diet. Right now he gets a mix (everyday) of ground chicken, scrambled eggs and Turkey grits mixed with calcium powder. When he is done with what he wants of that, I feed him medium dubia roaches (as many as he wants) dusted with Repashy Calcium Plus, and about 4 superworms.

I'm a little worried that He's deficient in something. Also, is bone meal ok to use to mix in with this ground chicken?

Thanks!
