Severus growth....

Well, some of you have probably read that we got Severus about a month ago. We were told he is three years old. We have no idea how he was kept previously, if he ever hibernated, etc. We did realize he is a bit small for a three year old, so about a week after we got him, we measured him and he was 24 inches. We measured him tonight, and he's grown two inches! He also just had a perfect shed.

Anyway, just wanted to share our excitement at how well he is doing. Wonder if he will continue with the fast growth? He it's not showing any sign of slowing down yet, we live in FL.

If anyone here has gotten an adult that was on the small side, I'd love some input on how much he might recover growth wise. He's already lost the mild signs of mbd that he had when we got him too.

24" definitely seems small, but 2" of growth seems like you guys are doing things right. Feed him lots, I would recommend whole prey (rats/chicks) to get him up to size.

Thanks james :) We've been feeding a lot of chicken necks and ground turkey with calcium....but we did just hook up with a chick supplier, so that's coming soon. Can't wait to see if he likes them. We go easy for now on the fruits, veggies, and eggs, and try to give as much chicken necks as he will eat.
