I had one do that before. He did it for about a week and a half then went back to his normal routine. While it is strange, I don't think it's anything to be too concerned about.
Bobby and I came to the conclusion he was just comfortable with his surroundings and didn't feel he had to hide.
I even started a thread about it lol

My female Black and White and my male Chacoan both do that a lot. In fact most nights I wake up and find them just laying around somewhere although sometimes they do go in their little hide. They've gotten kinda lazy ever since I put that hide and they very seldomly dig anymore. My female red still likes to go in the hide or dig at night
