so i have a female tegu named Akyra and she is in her hide ALL DAY..literally i woke up this morning she was under her mulch under a log...i come home from summer school she's still under the log(3 hours later) i check on her around every hour to see about feeding her and she's under her log...this is the 3rd day of her doing this and i'm a little worried...she hasnt eaten a thing in almost a week...and i had a little incident when she ran and hid in my gf's house and we kinda dug her out of where she was hiding(it was no fun)...i was wondering is she hiding because she's stressed or is this hibernation er is she just that tired???
heres some backround info:
she's 11 months old, 31inches snout to tail tip
she's in a 55gal long tank
cypress mulch bedding(4inches deep)
UVA/UVB bulb
basking spot of 115
Cool side of 80
i really could use some help on this...she use to be out of her hide all day until around 8 when she'd go to bed and in the months i've had her she NEVER skipped a meal =(
