Sleeping baby, Not eating

About two weeks ago we got a little red Argentine tegu. She spends all day sleeping and she doesn’t eat or drink. I’m soaking her in baths every other day and today I got her to eat three little bits of grape. From what I understand, she could go into full-blown hibernation and sleep for the rest of this winter. I’m very anxious as to what to do next. Should I just get him examined by a veterinarian? Thanks!

Always good to have a check-up for a new animal. Apart from that, if it looks well filled out, I'd let it sleep. Keep a basking light available at far end but retreat should be cold.
