Slightly Modified Dimensions

So my mom is being kind of disagreeable about rearranging the furniture in my room to put in Kodo's new tank (living at home SUCKS, lol), so it looks like I have to get a slightly smaller tank that usual. Would a 5x3 tank suffice for an adult Colombian tegu? Since they're not as big as the Argentines I wouldn't think a minor adjustment like this would matter much in the long run but I wanted some second opinions.

I would think it would be bearable, if I was in your shoes id build it to where it can be modified to be bigger if need be. Hope for the best plan for the worst
