smoke and rosemary...?

I was at the grocery store yesterday getting some ground turkey for the baby tegu and I was confronted with two options: 99% pure lean turkey breast, or 96-7% (I forget) turkey breast with "rosemary extract" listed as an ingredient in fine print.
Today someone also bought a frickin' pound of smoked lox and has no intention of eating it all.

I opted for the 99% lean turkey because I didn't really trust the rosemary extract. Is it even something to worry about? Is the extra 2-3% fat good for the tegu? Also, is smoked lox something that should stay off of the menu? I'd hate to see it go to waste unless it would end up hurting and/or spoiling him.

Thanks!

Lox is cured with added salt (brine) or added spices. So, I would have to say no. I would also vote against the rosemary extract. It we are told to avoid pine and cedar oils, then I would avoid rosemary oil to be on the safe side. I also avoid chicken and turkey with added salt.
