Snails

[Two Bananas Marinade]

I am looking for alternate forms of tegu food for variety. Raising frogs seems to be out of the question. How about snails? Any info on breeding and caring for snails and would it be ok to get them from the garden or elsewhs ere.

Rodents and insects are not an option, wife would kill me. ha

well tupinambis love eatin snails. but many snails harbor parasites. I use zoo med canned snails and mix it with turkey burger the GUs love it. GUs like the large land snails that is sold as pets.

I give my colombian snails-he loves them! I have two skinks that love them as well. I make sure the snails have eaten greens (lettuce and dandilions) and corn meal for several days B4 I feed them to get any "bad stuff" out of their system. I can't get my guys to eat canned snails.
