So frustrated

Well as the title says, I'm frustrated. I got one of bobby's babies and am not having much luck. She refuses to eat. She shed right when I got her. Since getting here Tuesday all she has had is 11 crickets because I put those in the cage and one bite of turkey. She has skin folds on her sides of her belly.

When I walk in the room she hides. With in 30 seconds she is back out basking. I try to pick her up to feed her in the feeding bin and she flips out runs to her hide. But then she is back out basking again with in 30 seconds.

I'm at a loss. I really don't want to feed her in the cage and have her get used to that. Sorry for the long winded post but I'm just at a loss.

I have been sitting next to the tank since she came and she seems to be used to me in the room. Or else I wouldn't think she would come out. Sorry to vent but I'm just worried

I would put like 3-4 inches of mulch in the cage. Give her a hide that is easy to get her from. I like to use a brick(check out my pic's)because when I need to get Drex out I can just take the brick(hide) out if needed. Drex hides under his brick when sleeping. When he comes out in the morning and it's feeding time if needed I can take that brick out so he can't run right under it. He's not flighty at all, but it's one way of eliviating the situation. No you shouldn't disturb them IN their hide, but if the hide is moved for a minute you can keep slowly easing your hands under her. Some will probably disagree w me, but it's worked for me so far and Drex is pretty tame already. He'll walk into my hand from his enclosure. If I get some time, I'll try to make you a video:)

Sweet a video. Iw ould like to him in action. I dont know about anyone else but it seems that the last shipment had babies shedding or about to shed. Mine was and Ive heard about 6 others that were as well. They still must be young enough to where they shed at the same time. I wonder when they will grow out of it.
