So is it normal that Sobek doesn't like being held unless I have my gardening gloves on? When I'm wearing them, he chills real good in my hands and I can hold him for quite some time. When I hold him without the gloves he freaks out, he doesn't mind me petting him and all that without the gloves, but he only likes being held when I've got the gloves on. I've never experienced this, so yea, I need some advice. Maybe he just likes the feeling?

Sobek likes gloves when handled

Maybe i should try gloves with storm,i can pick him up and hold him but lately it only lasts about 10 to 15 mins then he wants down to explore

When you first started handling Sobek did you use gloves? He may just be conditioned to it. Or perhaps your hands smell funny. Try a different soap/hand sanitizer next time you handle him and see if there's a change.
I use to handle him without gloves, then I out gloves on to hold him, my hand that supports his tail while held has no gloves. The only time I put gloves on was when I was trimming his nails, and ever since, he loves the gloves, haha.

It could be he was handled alot with gloves on and its just familiar. I know with some of my animals they perfer gloves becuase its something that they can really dig their nails in.
