Socializing Odin

So Odin met his first stranger yesterday and he did wonderfully! He's finally gotten to the point where he trusts humans as a whole instead of just my boyfriend and I. I thought he would be wary of a new person like he used to be, but he climbed right up on her lap like he's known her all along. I'm so proud of my little guy

Thats awesome. Prime doesnt do so well around new people. He runs toward me or in his hide. I hope one day he will be like odin.

I'll gradually introduce him to more and more people. Hopefully his reactions will be as good as they were yesterday. My goal is for him to be able to be relaxed and at ease no matter who is around or petting him.

That's great. Kodo has never had any problems with people; if he doesn't like a situation he just calmly walks away. I try to take him out in public when I can and some of my friends let me bring him over. He will let anyone pet him, and there are definitely times when he's a little attention whore, but he doesn't seem to tolerate being held by anyone except me. I tried to hand him to my brother and Kodo turned around in my hand and started to climb up my arm, and when I put him on my pal Natalie's shoulder he kept jumping back onto me.

Haha. Odin seems to be ok with being picked up by others too. I think I just got lucky with him, he's been pretty friendly from the beginning. The worst he's ever done before being tamed is just huff and puff a little. Now he's fine and dandy with just about anything.
