So my black and white has these tiny little spikie type things on the same crease line on both her back legs and across her waste discharge. My initial thought it was just wood shards she has crawled over but after using tweezers and pulling a few out it seems much softer. Any ideas what this might be would be greatly appreciated.
She is almost 3 years old
Free roamer
Going through a shed (helping her shedding is how I noticed it)
Steady eater turkey/chicken/eggs/mice

If there are no signs of inflammation/abscess (which is doesn't look like there is in your pics) I'd say you could leave them alone. Just think of them as blackheads on her legs. I also don't think you're hurting her by cleaning them out, so, if it makes you feel better to keep them clean, and she doesn't care, then go ahead :).

Others may have more insight, the above is just my opinion.

Yes, those are femoral "plugs", secretions from the femoral pores. Leave them alone unless they look impacted (liquid secretions, redness, inflammation).
