so my tegu still doesn't want anything other than insects. I tried the not feeding for 2 days and giving him chicken hearts and ground turkey with ground bones and organs and he ate that once and didn't want anymore and is refusing to eat it after that and I can't keep giving him crickets and stuff because he is too big for that. And he likes mice but I've heard you can not give them that more than twice or so a week...

Frozen/thawed mice are a fine staple. Add other things as you can.

Really?? I always heard they couldn't have it that often! That would make things so much easier
People are so ridiculous frozen thAwed mice are everything you give a tegu in one package they get calcium from the bones iron from the blood and other nutrients from the guts just throw some fruit into the mix I do at about a 80 to 20% the smaller being fruit of course and I also use bugs as a treAt if he doesn't want tthe fruit use blueberries cut in half mine love them

No problem ! And if yours isn't willing to grab the mice right away try poking a whole in them with a knife so he can smell the good stuff lol its gross but it works great
