Tail question

Not that it matters terribly,
is there a way to tell if a tail fell off or was bitten off etc.

I ask because my tegus tail looks slightly shorter in comparison to its body... the point seems narrow and "perfectly shaped" but at the same time, it looks (to me) short
Doesn't change anything, it's more just curiosity
Any pics out there of a regenerated tail that looks "normal"?
I assumed it would always be a rounded stub

The way to tell if the tail was nipped/fallen of is the tail would be completely back. My little got his nipped off by one of his siblings.

It's white at the tip... I'll take a picture... it just looks short relative to its body

Good news, he didn't drop his tail

Looks normal! My girl has about a 4-inch black segment at the end of hers, and it's wayyy stubby lol. But it gives her character
