TEGU ATE FERTILIZER

So I was watching tv and just happened to look back at Rex and I caught him swallowing a white ball of fertilizer from one of the plants I bought from LLL. Is he going to get sick and die, if so i feel really bad because it's my fault. He hasn't been eating lately but decided he would eat fertilizer.

What kind of fertilizer? Was it a small pebble of perlite? Have you removed the substance from his area for the time being?

Idk what kind it was it was just a white ball of fertilizer and yes there is no more of it

Can you post a photo of what you're talking about so we can try to determine what it was he ate?

It was like this but a bit bigger

Is it white if you crush it? Was it mixed in with potting soil?

 

[Logan]

Yes I could crush it and it was in potting soil

I messages lll and they said it was just a ball of perlite is that still harmful?

He'll be fine. Perlite isn't toxic and it should break down a little in the guy. I wouldn't be too worried.
