Hi - I just adopted a Columbian. He/she is about 1.5 years old - about 2 feet long and very friendly. I was trying to figure out if it is male or female. It has no femoral pores which would lead me to believe it's a female - or does that not make a difference with tegu's?

Welcome to the site and congrats on the tegu :). From your profile pic it looks female but could be wrong. It's just over a year old so it's easier to look for signs of it being male instead of female. Like leaving sperm plugs, inverting its hemipenes and jowls starting to come in, if none of that then it's female. Both males and females have femoral pores but the males are more pronounced.
