so one day i figured i throw in some mustard greens in with some scrabled eggs for buddy and he killed the plate greens and all.... can't hurt to have some extra calcium in his deit

Vegetables and fruits can be up to 66% of a tegus diet in the wild. If they will eat them, by all means feed them. My red tegu loves fruit. I have owned him since he was a baby and always feed him a varied diet. My black and white that I just got will only eat fruits and veggies if they are mixed in with meats. She is about 3 1/2 feet and I was told about three years old.
