Tegu slow down?

Hi all my tegus been sleeping a lot more lately but he still comes out everyday in the morning for a few hours, still offering him food every other day and he still eats it but not as much as usual?
Shall I reduce the temperature and the time the lights are on so he goes into hibernation or keep then on and he'll go down on his own?
