The seller was a nice guy, his husbandry could of been better. He kept his reptiles in a very cool basement, and the tegu was definitely not in a humid enough enclosure. His tail looks to have some retained skin that has segmented it a little if that makes sense to you. Scar on his back from unknown, scab on his back left knee. A bit under weight possibly, only fed 2-3 times a week. tail is thick so his health looks decent. He snorts when you first go in, i was worried at first that it could be a RI, but no mucus came out. He's a bit squirmy and death rolled across by back lol.Back and tail are in shed. I was told by a low cost wildlife vet/ normal vet that stiff fibris muscles can be mbd problems, but the tegus are nice and soft. He's alert, docile and doesn't mind being held as long as you don't have things darting around. Now for your input, snorting normal? Mist/soak for tail and back shed help or mineral oil olive oil? I'll probably do some olive oil first since it has some vitamins and such that just make me think it will help more then mineral oil. Gonna give him some turkey and male dubia roaches sine i have a surplus of males.
