Well guys, I have some really good news. I am getting an Argentine Black and White Tegu. Since a 6x3x3 is the minimum for a Tegu, I am getting a female which will probably be easier. However, she is not going to live in that size enclosure forever. Once I get my apartment in about a year or two, my Tegu will have a 8x4 enclosure. To keep my Tegu happy, it is going to get LOTS of time out of it's enclosure everyday. I am going to Tegu proof my room and set up some basking spots, etc.

With that said, I will possibly be getting an Argentine Black and White Tegu for my 18th birthday

Keep in mind females are not always smaller,.. they usually are,.. but they can get just as big if not bigger than some males.

I agree with bubblz, females tend to stay smaller but you get some females (like mines) that will exceed 4', good luck and congrats
