Here's a pic my mom took of me, my dachshund Vienna, and my tegu Kodo. The two of them get along really, really well. Kodo will let Vienna get right up in his face and give him a lick. He is totally unfazed by her and she is utterly fascinated with him.

Aw neat picture! I wish I could I Introduce my gu's to my dogs but I don't trust their prey drives. Is that a recent picture? Kodo looks big!

Thanks guys. It's from yesterday. Kodo is about 30 inches nose-to-tail and he seems to have a similar heft as my ball python so I'm guestimating he weighs about three pounds. My the time Kodo is full grown, the odds are he'll weigh more than Vienna, lol. If only my other dachshund was so afraid of him.

Love your critters! I posted those picture of the cat and gu' eating off the same plate. My animals are the same way... gu' doesn't care and the cat is insanely interested. BTW I am a metalhead too

How old is Kodo?

Not 100% sure, since I didn't get him as a hatchling from a breeder. I bought him from a local pet store and he was already quite tame and about 24 inches long. He didn't start dropping sperm plugs until I'd had him several weeks. My best guesstimate is that he's between 1.5 and 2 years old; I've only had him about 6 months. It's always nice to meet fellow metalheads, particularly tegu-friendly ones. What bands do you follow?
