Twisted toe?

Hello everyone!
Just now I was letting Taco free roam around the room his cage is in. He was entering and leaving his cage at will while I was on the computer. Just recently (about 1 minute ago) I was watching him walk over the screen top that was ajar. It didn't seem very comfortable for him to walk on since his claws kept getting caught in the grate. This isn't the first time he's been on there; I do keep a plastic cover on most of the screen so it's more comfortable for him to walk around. He seems to forget how much the grate part sucks, takes a few steps onto it, then back onto the plastic cover and either back into his cage or out into the room.

In this particular instance he was heading back into his cage when one of his toes on his right hind leg got caught in the screen and twisted as he "fell" into the cage. At first he seemed to walk funny and as he laid back down to bask his leg shook and he kept it stretched out while he basked. Just as I'm typing this now though he's moving around again and his leg doesn't seem to be affected. the top of his cage is not completely off; he looked at me as if contemplating leaving his cage again, but apparently thought against it and is under the lamp again. His leg seems to have resumed a normal position.

Lets say in a worst case scenario his toe is broken, what should I do? How do you think this would affect him?

Thank you all in advance.

Oh, and no his claw did not come out. It is still intact.

Brief update: He is walking around the room now and his walking seems completely normal.

Could be a number of things like a possible fracture, dislocation that popped back into place, pulled/strained muscle or tendon. But since he's fine now I wouldn't worry too much about it for now just keep an eye on it. Cover the top when he's out and or don't let him walk on it. They can also do the same thing and lose a nail from inside the cage if they can reach the screen top.

You can also check it out by comparing it to his other toes. Structure, range of motion and whether or not it affects him while you're doing it.

My regular camera is acting up right at the moment, so I tried taking a picture of his foot with my cell phone. The quality, leaves much to be desired. I will post a picture once I get my camera working properly; as of right now both of his hind legs seem to be the same. Certainly the toe itself doesn't appear to be twisted, disjointed, or broken. While I was holding him I did touch and wiggle each one of his toes; and I didn't get a response. He's usually okay with me lightly touching them; recently he shed and I was pulling off stray bits of skin from his fingers with a pair of tweezers. He does, however, seem get a little annoyed with me if I handle his digits any harder than that. That being said, what contact I did make with the toe I thought he may have broken didn't elicit any response from him, so I can't imagine it's bothering him too much.

He also attempted to jump onto a few pieces of furnature a few times, so whatever may have happened apparently didn't affect his mobility either. If anything else happens I will post it here right away!
