ok so if had zeus for a couple days and today i was feeding him some ground turkey i put down paper towels in his cage with a little dish on them with the ground turkey the paper towels helpd so when he flung the turkey it didnt go in the cypress mulch but today he was eating and my sister and my niece came in my room and my niece being 4 ran up to the cage and spooked him and he grabd a big piece of turkey and ran and then when he tried to eat it he ate some small pieces of mulch.

Should i be worried? they werent that big they were like the little hair kinda ones

he should be able to pass it. you could try soaking him in some water later today or tomorrow, it will help get his bowels moving. every now and then i'll catch a tegu munching on mulch.

If possible, you may want to consider feeding him in a separate area that has no mulch. Kodo eats either in my office or in the kitchen.
