vivarium filter and bowl

I got and idea and i am gonna see what you guys think do guys think if you had a large water dish and had the water high enough could you have a filter in the water bowl and it would keep the water much cleaner and possibly not have to clean it as much

MIT work, does the box of the filter say if it needs a surton amount of water to run it ? just wondering if it will burn out or not.

yeah it needs a cetain amount of water to work i am guessing 4 or 5 inches that is if you set the filter on the floor of the bowl but you can also use a underwater filter of course the water level will have to be up some to probably about the same amount 4 or 5 inches
