We've just brought home Malaki and we love him so! He's two months old :)
Any advice for a first time tegu owner? I've done research but still have a few questions.

He has eaten crickets and roaches, but turns down fruit and everything else. Also, at what age can they eat mice?
He's in mid shed, and I know adults soak a few times a week - how often do you soak hatchlings?

I think that's all for now :) Thank you!

Congrats! He can take pinks now. Slit'em if you want = easier digesting. Don't worry about not eating fruit now. He may change later. He may soak on his own in a large shallow water bowl.

Maybe try giving him small pieces of raw, cut up chicken, perhaps without the bone first? You can also try ground up meats like turkey or even beef. I get coarsely ground meats with the bone and organs for my lizards at Hare-Today.com
