We found 2 deer carcass (sp?) a spotted salamander, which was pretty good size, some duck prints and a friend of mine caught what I think is a rat snake, I let it go after I got the pics...

Definetly not a Rat Snake. MA has the same specie Rat that we have here in NJ. I was gonna say some sort of Corn Snake but Milk Snake sounds about right.
I thought corn or rat...but your probably right!!
I've caught babies and they are a bright red/white colors...pretty! They had red eyes too...that should have given it away!
