If you are interested at all in buying him, im actually making a trip to Portland here in two weeks. I could definitely bring him with me. But I dont think i want to ship him anywere, it sometimes costs almost the worth of the tegu
I have a very young (not even half a year old) and beautiful argentine black and white tegu for sale. My wife and I had a room for our tegu set aside, however, we just found out my wife is pregnant. So the tegus room will now be the babys room. We have a small house and it is just too crowded...
Rockin thank you guys, also another question, I know alot of people just let there tegus walk around their house. Ours still pretty small and might get under the coach or other stuff. Would it be a bad idea just to let him wonder around and just assume that he'll come back to his cage to go to...
So im still really new to this whole owning a tegu thing. Ours hasnt eaten in a while. He is still pretty young but I'm thinking about feeding him a mouse. Should I get a frozen mouse and just thaw him out (and if so how should I thaw it?) or should I get a live one. Also should I feed him in...
Thank you so much, I should make many changes, and hopefully with his new cage his attitude will be better. Im sure the UVB will help out. And ill get some deeper substrate.
No offense taken, Im glad to hear this. The substrate is definately deep enough in most areas. I can deepen it with a new cage. Were can I get a UVB light bulb, would they have it in most pet stores? And would one fit in one of the lamps i have?
I have the two lamps hooked onto a chair next to the cage. The red one on top, and the ceramic one near the bottom for a good basking spot. But I dont know how to post the pictures, do you have to put them on the internet before you can put them on here?
K I will get a thermometer probe thingy like you said. I have a humidifier right next to the cage, when I walk into the room, its like walking into a rain forest. The cage is a custom made cage with screen all around it. He doesn't have a green head anymore, but his head looks a little bit more...
With the size of cage and temperature and humidity, I'm not 100% sure. He has a basking spot that gets pretty warm. We have wooding chippings and he loves digging in them. But but other than that, a few rocks in the wood chips and a couple of sticks. We usually just feed him right in his cage...
We got our tegu (coco) just a few weeks ago, its still very young but its sooooo angry. Ive only been able to pet it a few times and it wont let me hold it without trying to tail whip and bite me. Just today it actually jumped a few feet with mouth wide open going for my face. Were kind of...
